Congrats to Stump!  Congrats to NOODLES the basset for wining her breed, what a lovely girl!  I really wanted her to get the group.

Regarding the Newfoundland enteries at Westminster, there were A LOT of no shows.  Sam of Threeponds was a no show and so was Jefferson of Pouch Cove.  A few other Pouch Cove dogs did no show up either.  To me, some of the best Newfs did not show at Westminster this year. Titain was there, but he only got AOM, he should have taken breed again.  A dog I don't know took Breed, he didn't look as nice as Titain or Jefferson.  A Karazan bitch from Napa got OS.  Zues was there again this year, he got AOM.

Other stuff:
Look at this page http://www.glncnational2009.org/auction_preview.htm, I'm in LOVE with the "Custom Made Newfoundland Bench" with the leaf designs.  I wonder how much that'll go for.  Maybe I'll put a bid in.

Scary, I'll b 26 years old on saturday.

For the past few week my mom's dog Doo-Doo has been staying at my house for "boot camp" during the day.   He's here because he ate a whole in my mom's house, and was digging up the fenece and running away everyday!  The first day he was at my house he was SO bad, I guess he thought I'm no different than my mom.  Boy, did he learn his lesson and quick too!  He's not done anything bad since.  We'll be putting in an electric fence system at my mom's, and once Doo-Doo learns to use it he won't have to come over anymore.

I'm learning to job of being a test Secretary for the Newfoundland club.  The job of a test Sec. is to send in the test applications to NCA, make/send premium list, take enteries, make the catalog, do paper work on test day, send paper work in to NCA after the test.

It's a very important job, bcause the Secretary is the person who makes sure that everything goes on as planed.  If the Sec forgets to send in paper work or sends in late then the test will not be held- meaning lots of angry people.

Right now, I'm just learning the job.  Our club only has five tests a year, two draft tests and three water tests.
I am shadowing for the upcoming Draft Test in April.  I will be co-secretary for the September water tests, and I am the SECRETARY for the 2010 Spring draft test.  I hope I do a good job. There are lots of rules to follow, lots of paper work, lots of important dates.

I'm going to be pretty busy until the end of April.  Not only learning to be test sec, but I'm planning on entering Lex in the Gold Rush Cluster shows for April 2,3,4.  I haven't decided if we're doing all three days. I hope we'll walk away with at least ONE leg, if we're really good, TWO!

On April 5th Lex & I will be entered at the Draft test, hoping for a second requal.
With roughly two months before the shows I'm practicing with Lex every day.  We're doing obedience, jumps, retrieving, drop on recall, and other stuff for OpenA.  I'm starting to do some draft again too since he's not done a draft test in over a year!   We're both in need of getting back into shape for the shows so we're jogging or biking each day on top of all the practice.

On April 27th thru May 3rd I'm hoping to fly with Lex to MI for the National Specialty show.  I've already got my plane ticket at a very nice price of $259 round trip!  Right now it's still up in the air if we're going or not, I've got my fingers crossed.  It'll be Lex's first time on a plane and it'll be awesome to go to MI for the first time.  And besides, it's the NCA National, there will be the most beautiful Newfs from all over the world gathered in one place!  What could be better than that?
